Beach rest in Russia
Every man dreams have a rest at least once a year on the shore of a boundless
sea, listen to the relaxing wash, luxuriate on the golden beach, sense a waft of
the light breeze. Beach rest for many people is a long-awaited holiday, an
opportunity to rest light-heartedly. What is beach rest? This rest is far from
banal lying on the beach. At the same time it is not like a traveling about
countries with indispensable visiting of museums and sights. This rest is for
body but not for mind. Popular resorts, diving, surfing, romantic adventures,
leisurely familiarities, restaurants, casinos, tennis, volleyball and etc. Beach
rest costs two times less than excursion one for tourists.
Black sea coast
Now let’s begin our tour about seas, lakes and rivers of Russia. The South of
Russia is turned into a really Edenic nook where effective treatment will be
offered to you right during the beach rest an the sea as the Black Sea coast is
the only subtropics of Russia, the best climatic and balneotherapeutic health
resort of the world. In Russia there is no place in Russia which could come up
with resorts of Krasnodar region in their natural conditions. In the Black sea
one can swim since May till September (near Sochi – till November).
Flora here is rich and various. In the
north-west part of the coast Crimean and Pitsunda pines, barberry, honeysuckle,
shortgrowing bushes. To the south at height of 500-600 m above the sea level,
chestnut-tree, nut-tree, beech, oak, fir, yew-tree, box-tree, ash-tree, maple,
rhododendron, cherry-laurel, wild fruit trees are spread. Palms, bananas,
eucalyptuses, magnolias, cypresses, citrus plants grow on the very coast.
The sea at Anapa is the ecologically purest in the Black Sea basin. Anapa is
40 km sandy beaches of the Black Sea and 10 km pebbly beaches. Salubrious
climate is piedmont-steppe and mild Mediterranean at the same time. The most
valuable hydrogenous muds, knoll therapeutic muds of “volcanoes”, four types of
salubrious underground mineral waters for medical and table drinking,
hydrogenous, iodine, higher bromine highly mineralized waters and brines for
taking a bath.
The Azov sea
The Azov sea is small, warm, its average depth is 8 m, rich in its biological
content. The warm Azov sea, mild climate, abundance in fresh reservoirs create
the richest opportunities for treating and rest. The climate of the Azov sea is
temperate continental. Relatively low humidity of the air, winds of small force
and breezes permit to withstand heat easily. Duration of sunshine is more than
2,320 hours per a year.
Owing to this the sea warms up quicker and
temperature of water during quite the whole summer season is higher of the Black
sea one. Due to this, bathing season begins at the end of May and continues for
the whole summer. Water in the sea is warm, temperature reaches 32 degrees. And
even little children may splash in the water for hours not risking becoming too
cold and falling ill. Unlike the Black Sea water the water of the Azov water is
non saline, thus skin doesn’t become inflamed after swimming. Certainly because
of admixtures of silt the Azov sea is not as clear as the Black one but these
admixtures make swimming in the sweet and warm water of the Azov sea salubrious.
Here there are many cozy places for fascinating rest. Extensive steppes,
fluxes and estuaries overgrown with cane. In the Azov sea there is “Dzhemete”.
“Dzhemete” is translated as “golden sand” and this name is not accidental –
local beaches are 10 km of clear medicinal sand, width of which is up to 100 m.
For the whole space of the beach picturesque sandy dunes are covered with unique
vegetation. Flat sandy bottom of the sea creates ideal conditions for children’
swimming. Location of the settlement gives an opportunity to visit the beach
many times during a day and have a rest whenever you want. In the beach cafes
you can drink soft drinks and in the evening – seat right at a sea wave. On the
beach you may hire umbrellas, chaise longues, equipments for diving, catamarans,
waverunners, etc. The sea water, hot silica sand, absolutely clear maritime air
and the soft sun are all what you need for you and your children.
Baikal
We should return to the place from where we came and where we should always
be – return to the Nature. It is possible in the Baikal. You can see, touch
treasures of the nature. Miracles of the nature will surround you in form of
wonderful mountains, meadows, taiga and the air, filled with smells of the se,
rocks and flowers, under you – in form of pearly water, above you – in form of
the fathomless blue sky, dazzling white clouds and the hot sun, giving way to
dreadful placers of star. You will see majestic cliffs in which the Time itself
created wonderful grottos and caves, enigmatic rock paintings – works of ancient
ancestors, comfortable bays and creeks.
Among numerous capes there is a
grandiose architectural ensemble of the nature – the bay Pestchanaya. It is
ideal outlined arc with extension more than one kilometre, with sandy beach.
Karelia
Karelia is the northern area of our country with a short and cool summer. But
here it is hot sometime (up to +30 C?). June is a high time for excursions to
Balaam and Kizhi for admiring the silent nature, white nights, swimming and
fishing in the Onega lake. A wonderful place for rest is situated in 18 km from
Petrozavodsk city. Here there is a wonderful sandy beach on the shore of Onega
lake, the water in which sometimes warmed up to +25 C.
Volga
“Every country has its national river, - Duma wrote. – Russian has the
Volga – the largest river in Europe, a tsarina of our rivers, - and I have
hurried up to bow to Her Majesty Volga!” dividing into hundreds arms, the
Volga created a wonderful world where the nature has kept its primeval beauty.
Thousands birds, fishes, animals inhabitant here among fields of lotus.
Sturgeons, belugas, stellate sturgeons often entry channels from the sea,
sazans, breams, pike perches, crawfishes, reaching here fantastic sizes. In the
delta of the Volga desert landscapes changes into meadows, riparian forests,
heavy beds of reed and the rarest beautiful wonder-flower – lotus, occupying
5,000 ha in the delta. It is an ideal place for rest. On the bank of the Volga
you can acquire a tan as long as you want, fish.
Basil’s islands are a wonderful place for
active rest in the Volga. What can you do here? Of course, one of the most
beloved kinds of active rest is fishing and Basil’s islands are a suitable place
for it. In variety of fishes, dwelling in the reservoirs of the islands, this
place doesn’t yield to the famous delta of the Volga.
If you are indifferent to fishing, I doubt weather there is a person who can
refuse walking about the shady forest. Elms, black poplars, oaks, osier-beds –
having found yourself in their power, you will sense presence of fairy tale as
in the childhood. In the islands there are also very many mushrooms and berries.
And having seen huge strawberry clearings, you can just forget about everything.
How pleasant it is to dive into the cool clearest water! You can swim also on
the mattress or hire a rubber boat and imagine yourself a traveler. And there is
no person who doesn’t like to luxuriate under rays of the warm, caressing sun!
Soft grass, light breeze and glare of mirror-like water – there is nothing
better than this! You won’t have a tedious time in the evenings. There is
nothing more romantic than sitting at the bonfire, listening to crackle of
firewood and enjoying the tastiest shashliks.
The Lena river
The Lena river in the region of Yakutsk is a deep beauty, rich in arms and
channels, islands with sandy beaches, meadows, brushwood of willows. In a sunny
summer the Lena river with the help of coolness of clear waters saves from heat
when temperature reaches +30 C?. Sandy beaches, tourist centers and
health-improving camps, weekend water routs give good spirits, tan, good mood.
Local forests are rich in berry: great bilberry and cowberries, islands of the
Lena – in black and red currants.
Teletskoe lake
Teletskoe lake is the largest lake of the Altai and one of the largest lakes
of Russia. Name of the lake is originated from an Altai tribe of Teleuts. This
lake is often called a younger brother of the Baikal. Like the Baikal the lake
is very deep, stretches between mountains, many rivers and brooks (about 80)
flow into it and only 1 river – the Biya - flows out. Valley of the lake is the
warmest place in the Altai.
Seliger
Seliger is an area of lakes and coniferous forests. Soft sunny rays appears
on the mirror-like surface of the water in the yearly morning and a bright
shining disc, blanched in the clear lake, flashes out in the sky already in
several minutes. In Seliger lake you can take a boat or hire a cutter. During
sail sing you will see high hills, covered with grass, in the islands. These are
sites of ancient settlements. In all there are more than a 10 sites in the
neighbourhood. Having gone to this place in July you will not only see chaste,
wonderfully beautiful nooks of the nature but also acquire a tan and swim. It is
sunny, rains are rare and short, the water gets warmed thoroughly up to +25
C.
There is no other rest in Russia, except beach rest, which gives an
opportunity to imagine ourselves a small part of the nature and revive with
energy for a long time. In any place, you have chosen for rest in Russia, you
will always feel homey not feeling fear of a foreign country and language
barrier.
